The Panamanian delegation participated in the International Congress of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering Students (CONESCAPAN 2025), held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and achieved outstanding results.

The group, composed of students from the University of Panama (UP), the Technological University of Panama (UTP), and the Specialized University of the Americas (UDELAS), received important awards that consolidate the country's talent, creativity, and scientific commitment.

Panama won three of the most relevant awards from the Convention of Central American and Panamanian Students (CONESCAPAN): Best Paper, Most Inspirational Paper, and Best Stand at the Nations Fair.

Panamanian students presented a total of five research projects that demonstrated an innovative approach and the search for technological solutions with social and scientific impact in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and engineering applied to health.

The projects presented were: • UTP: Design, Construction, and Development of a Low-Cost Anthropomorphic Robotic Arm with Multiple Degrees of Freedom • UTP: Preventive diagnosis of faults in coaxial cables through analysis of current signatures induced by low-frequency signals • UDELAS: Design and Laboratory Validation of a Gas Analyzer Prototype Based on ESP32 for Mechanical Ventilation Assessment • UP: Design and Implementation of a Low-Cost Search and Rescue Robot Architecture • UP: IoT Smart Mirror System for Musical Adaptation Based on Facial Expressions

For CONESCAPAN 2025, held at the Clarion Real Tegucigalpa hotel, the event focused on keynote lectures, practical workshops, networking sessions, and the presentation of technical papers. The research papers were evaluated under a rigorous double-blind peer-review system, considering criteria of originality, technical contribution, quality of methodology, and relevance.
