Next Sunday, December 21st, the San Miguelito parade will take place, starting at 4:00 p.m. The parade will run along the Transístmica, from the Pan de Azúcar metro station to the traffic light at the entrance to the Los Andes No. 2 residential area. The most populated districts of Panama will hold their Christmas parades this and next Sunday in a festive atmosphere already felt in the streets and sidewalks. Mayor Irma Hernández announced that the parade will feature floats from private companies and public institutions, as well as independent and school bands, areas for entrepreneurs, and entertainment for children. This afternoon, starting at 3:00 p.m., the capital city's parade will take place on Calle 50, a location preferred by Mayor Mayer Mizrachi, as it was also held there last year. The Christmas parade will begin at the corner with Calle Uruguay and extend to the corner with Calle 76, in the San Francisco district. The participation of 30 floats, 92 delegations, 3 international bands, 10 cultural associations, 20 invited children's community groups, and 9,000 artists, including characters, animators, and dancers, is expected. At both parades, the consumption of alcoholic beverages and the sale or use of pyrotechnics along the established routes are prohibited.
