Panama - A new bloody incident has shaken the San Miguelito district.
Yesterday around 2:00 p.m., when many residents of the area were enjoying their day off, gunshots rang out near a church located in the fifth stage of the Santa Librada neighborhood, situated in the Omar Torrijos corregimiento.
A man between 25 and 30 years old was murdered in cold blood and in broad daylight. The bullets not only claimed the victim's life but also hit an innocent person, who fortunately was only injured.
Both individuals were transferred to the emergency room of the Policlinica Generoso Guardia, located right there in Santa Librada, but the on-duty physicians could do nothing for the man other than determine that he had no vital signs.
Although the National Police is conducting operations in various points of the district, no apprehension of any suspect linked to this crime has been reported so far.
