An attack that occurred this afternoon, Sunday, left one person dead and another injured, in a violent incident that took place within the Medalla Milagrosa community, which belongs to the Cristóbal Este district in the province of Colón. Preliminary information indicates that both victims were inside a house performing welding work. It was at that moment that two masked individuals suddenly entered and opened fire. Both victims were transferred to the emergency room of Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital, where the death of Pedro was confirmed, while the injured person was treated by the attending physicians. Investigative agents from the National Police arrived at the scene to try to clarify how this attack on a life occurred, with a fatal outcome and attempted homicide. They also moved to the emergency room so that the injured person could provide information that would allow them to identify the shooters. Personnel from the Public Prosecutor's Office went to the scene to collect evidence, clues, and other elements, as well as to remove the body at the hospital. More than 100 people have died so far this year, in which other people have also been injured, including minors.
