Taxist Kidnapped and Abandoned in Panama

In Panama, a taxi driver was deprived of his freedom and abandoned in the community of Santa Rita Arriba, corregimiento of Sabanitas, in the province of Colón. On Saturday night, the driver was found by locals gagged, with his hands and feet tied with ropes, on the premises of the Santa Rita Arriba primary school. This situation was immediately reported to the National Police of Sabanitas. In the preliminary investigation, it was established that the taxi driver was stripped of his taxi, a Kia Cerato Forte, when several individuals posed as passengers. Once inside the vehicle, they subdued him and transported him to this area, where they left him abandoned. It was during police operations that the victim's taxi was later located, abandoned on one of the internal streets of the Santa Rita Arriba community, an area bordering the population of Puerto El Caño. At the time of the discovery, three individuals who were near the vehicle, upon seeing the officers, fled. The investigation for the crime of deprivation of liberty against this professional driver in Colón remains open.
