In Panama, two separate shooting incidents have left two men injured. The most recent case occurred last night at around 9:00 p.m. outside a supermarket in the Bique sector, Río Hato (Coclé). A 23-year-old man was shot in the left knee. He stated that a minor on a horse approached him and shot him without any provocation. The injured man was transferred to the Aquilino Tejeira Hospital in Penonomé for treatment. In a separate incident, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Alonso Johnson (41) arrived at the emergency room of the San Miguel Arcángel Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and a graze. He was attacked while on Calle 13 in Río Abajo. An arrest warrant has been issued for Johnson in 2025 for the crime of pandering and other offenses by the San Francisco police zone.
