
In the agricultural field, the president announced the launch of the campaign for the control of brucellosis and bovine tuberculosis. During his visit to the province of Chiriquí, the president emphasized the importance of these measures to ensure the health of livestock and protect the quality of dairy and meat products produced in Panama.
In this sense, the Minister of Agricultural Development explained that brucellosis and bovine tuberculosis are diseases that can affect both animals and humans, so it is fundamental to implement control and prevention actions. The campaign will include testing, vaccination, and other measures to ensure the welfare of animals and food safety in the country.
"We are committed to strengthening agricultural health in Panama and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards," the president stated during his speech. Furthermore, he announced that new agricultural development projects will be implemented in Chiriquí, with the aim of boosting production and improving the living conditions of producers in the region.
In this context, these initiatives are expected to contribute to strengthening the agricultural sector in Chiriquí and enhancing its productive capacity for the benefit of the entire community. The government reaffirmed its commitment to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and the promotion of practices that favor the health and well-being of the population as a whole.
