The damage to the national road network due to the rains and landslides that occurred from November 2 to November 12 is estimated to be between 80 and 100 million balboas. This figure represents the cost required to carry out the necessary repairs.

During a press conference, ministers reported that so far, eight deaths have been recorded as a result of these climatic events, as well as more than 5,000 people have been affected in various regions of the country. Authorities pointed out the urgency of attending to the affected communities and restoring the damaged road infrastructure.

"It is a worrying situation that requires us to act immediately to ensure the safety of the population and restore normal conditions in the affected areas," officials stated. The repair and assistance efforts for those affected are being coordinated by the competent authorities, who are working to mitigate the impacts of this emergency and provide support to those in need.
