A 49-year-old man died from drowning in the Ngäbe Buglé region after being caught by a flash flood.
According to local reports, the incident occurred while the man was near a river and was surprised by the sudden rise in water levels. Despite the efforts of rescue teams, they were unable to save him, and his body was later found by authorities.
Local authorities have reminded the importance of respecting warning signs and taking precautions during the rainy season, as flash floods can pose a deadly danger to those near rivers and streams.
