A 73-year-old man was arrested by police units of the National Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ) for his alleged involvement in crimes against sexual freedom and integrity, including aggravated rape, lewd acts, and corruption of minors. The subject was detained at his residence in the Tocumen district after a capture order was issued against him. He is accused of sexually assaulting his granddaughter.
According to inquiries conducted, the man had been abusing the minor for the past four years, taking advantage of their family relationship to commit the acts. Once arrested, the man will be placed at the disposal of judicial authorities for the corresponding procedures.
