In an operation carried out in the localities of Chiriquí and San Miguelito, the authorities managed to apprehend 23 people. During the operation, firearms, a drone, and several packages containing illicit substances were seized.
According to official reports, this operation called "Alliance" aimed to dismantle a criminal network operating in those areas. After intelligence work by the security forces, the involved individuals were identified and arrests were made.
The Minister of Security celebrated the success of the operation and highlighted the coordinated work among the different institutions to combat crime in the country. Meanwhile, the detainees were made available to the relevant authorities to answer for the crimes they are accused of.
