Lawmakers are warning that the debates on reforms to the Social Security Fund (CSS) could extend for an additional two months in the National Assembly.
According to some legislators, the discussion of the proposed reforms to the CSS is a complex issue that will require detailed and thorough analysis to reach agreements.
"It is important to take the necessary time to thoroughly review these reforms and ensure that decisions are made that benefit all Panamanians," expressed one of the deputies during a session in the full National Assembly.
In light of this situation, a working methodology has been defined that allows structuring the debates and speeding up the analysis of the presented proposals. This way, it seeks to ensure that all opinions are heard and that agreements beneficial to the social security system in Panama are reached.
In this regard, it is expected that the full National Assembly will soon begin the debate on the reforms to the CSS, addressing the different points that have generated controversy and discussion among the various involved sectors.
