Operation “Cordon”, carried out by the Public Ministry with the support of the National Police in the province of Colón, resulted in the detention of five people with pending cases before the justice system. The raids and searches were conducted in several communities of the Buena Vista and Cristóbal Este districts, where a man wanted for the crime of gangsterism was detained, allegedly linked to the criminal group known as the “Killa” from Río Alejandro. Four adolescents, 17 years old, were also apprehended, allegedly linked to investigations for the crime against life and personal integrity in its aggravated homicide modality, which occurred in Altos de Los Lagos on July 8, 2025. Likewise, technological evidence and ammunition from firearms were seized. All evidence and those apprehended were placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
