The President of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, met with the family of Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who has already arrived in Oslo, Norway, for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony on Wednesday. Machado's mother and sister, Corina and Clara Machado, recognized the 'key' support provided by President Mulino and the people of Panama in the fight to restore democracy in Venezuela. 'President Mulino has been key in this entire process, and he will have our personal gratitude and that of an entire country,' Clara stated upon arriving in Oslo. She expressed deep gratitude to men like Mulino for 'giving us a hand and helping us not only to be here in Oslo but to achieve the freedom we are about to attain.' The mother of the laureate also spoke out in support of President Mulino and the people of Panama. 'Those records that confirm the landslide victory of Edmundo and María Corina are in our possession in Panama,' Mulino told the Venezuelan leader's family. He stated that María Corina Machado is a 'friend who knows she can count on me and on Panama, especially in the coming stage, which is the reconstruction of Venezuela, a great country.'
