Panama-Yeremy Alberto Mastarreno Aguirre, who entered the 'Most Wanted' list last July for the murder of a minor, was captured on Wednesday in the district of San Miguelito during Operation Hexagon. Units of the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) and personnel from the Public Ministry, after previous investigations, established Mastarreno's location, who was hiding in a house in the El Porvenir neighborhood, in the Omar Torrijos corregimiento, and proceeded to his capture at dawn. Apparently, this 'Most Wanted' had no idea that the authorities were watching him, as he was apprehended while sleeping in his underwear. The young man, with an apparently affable face, is linked to the murder of a 17-year-old girl, who died on the afternoon of July 10 at the Irma de Lourdes Tzanetatos hospital, after having been shot in the forehead the night before in the 8 de Diciembre sector, in Las Garzas (Panamá Este). It was reported after the victim's death that at around 11:30 p.m. on July 9, a family argument took place during which the victim made threats. Shortly after, gunmen appeared in the neighborhood and fired at a group of people who were on the street.
