A 23-year-old Customs official was apprehended in the Cántaros neighborhood of Nuevo Tocumen during an operation where an M-16 rifle, along with high-caliber magazines and ammunition, was found on him. Units from the local division conducted a special raid and search in coordination with the Seventh Subregional Primary Care Prosecutor's Office, successfully locating and detaining the individual at the request of the Public Ministry. At the scene, an M-16 rifle, a Colt brand with no visible serial number, caliber 5.56 mm, was seized, along with two magazines and 59 rounds of 5.56x45 mm ammunition, which were confiscated as part of the operation. The citizen was transferred to the Nuevo Tocumen Citizen Attention Room, where the corresponding procedures are being carried out as the investigation continues.
