Customs Official Apprehended with Firearm and Ammunition

National Police in Panama conducted a raid that resulted in the detention of a Customs Authority official. A firearm and ammunition were found in his possession.

National Police units apprehended a Customs Authority official during a raid in the 24 de Diciembre district, Nuevo Tocumen neighborhood.

According to the investigation, during the raid carried out in coordination with the Seventh Subregional Primary Care Prosecutor's Office, a Colt-brand rifle-type firearm without a serial number, two 5.56 caliber rifle magazines, and 59 5.56×45 mm caliber cartridges were seized.

The apprehended Customs Authority official was transferred to the Nuevo Tocumen citizen service center.
