A group of former municipal officials from San Miguelito took to the streets, completely blocking the main road in Paraíso, right in front of the Municipal Council. They are demanding the payment of their benefits, which they claim they have been waiting for for years. With banners and full-throated slogans like 'Irma, Irma, we want our money!' and 'We worked here, no bottles!', the protesters denounced that, despite their demands, the response remains the same: there is no money. However, indignation is growing, as they directly accuse Mayor Irma Hernández of hiring close associates with juicy salaries during the same period. Far from giving up, the former officials warned that the pressure will continue: they will close the street every Tuesday in front of the Municipal Council until they are paid what they claim is rightfully theirs.
