To date, 135 homicides have been recorded so far in 2026. Despite the decrease, it was acknowledged that these incidents continue to cause concern. It was detailed that a high percentage of the victims have ties to illicit activities, which marks the line of the investigations. The National Police, along with the Public Ministry, maintains operations and reinforcements in areas with a surge, with the aim of bringing criminal organizations to justice and apprehending those responsible for these crimes.
