Luis Carlos Gómez Rudy, 45 years old and from the province of Colón, was questioned in the Credentials Commission about his plans to become the next Attorney General of the Nation. Gómez stated that his management will be based on objectivity, transparency, and independence, thus becoming one of the youngest attorneys general if his appointment is approved by the National Assembly.
During his intervention, he emphasized the importance of gaining the trust of Panamanian citizens, mentioning that the Attorney General's Office must be an empathetic institution that efficiently assists those in need. He also pointed out the need to eliminate the long waits that citizens used to experience in the Ecuador building, thus showing his commitment to improving services.
In his statements, Gómez emphasized that he has no political affiliation and does not maintain a close relationship with President Mulino, making clear his stance on independence and objectivity in the exercise of his duties as Attorney General.
