The Panamanian Baseball Federation announced the formation of a national team for the South American Youth Games, to be held in Panama from April 12-25. The team of 35 players will train at the Rod Carew Stadium.

Baseball will be one of the sports featured at the South American Youth Games, to be held from April 12 to 25 in Panama. The Panamanian Baseball Federation (Fedebeis) confirmed that it is preparing a pre-selection for these games, led by former national player Adolfo Rivera. In the baseball competition, scheduled for April 20-25, players aged 16 and 17 will participate. The current national pre-selection consists of 35 players and is training at the Rod Carew National Stadium. The national pre-selection roster is as follows: Pitchers: David Rodríguez, Abdiel Castillo, Abel Rodríguez, Jhair Díaz, Johan Camarena, Roberto Martínez, Idelmir Ibarra, Ramón Baule, Luis Centella, Alejandro Vega, Daniel Brown, Ian Cepeda, Rodrigo Tello, and Abraham Wright. Catchers: Jesús Arosemena, Luis Aranda, Néstor Ramos, Omar Osorio, and Ariel Cardenas. Infielders: Adrián Fuentes, Anderson Cousin, Lucas López, Luis Atencio, Jensual Guizado, Eduardo Canto, Eduardo Barba, Jeykol De León, Nicolás Sánchez, and Justin Gill. Outfielders: Danel Long, Edward Delgado, Jorge Nash, Jorge Cedeño, Alejandro Fanovich, and Carlos Sánchez.
