Early Tuesday morning, a woman was shot twice in the coastal community of Costa Arriba, in the Portobelo district, while she was at the dock in a vehicle. The case was handled by the Sabanitas Judicial Investigation Section following a report of a person injured by a firearm projectile. The victim, identified as Jessica Clark, 37, was shot in the left thigh and had another wound in the right thigh. The red Kia Rio sedan, belonging to a rental company, had bullet holes from a firearm. After the attack, the woman went to the Portobelo Health Center and was then transferred by ambulance to Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital to continue her care. During the investigation, it was confirmed that the victim was in the car with her minor son, who fortunately was not injured. She was parked near the La Guaira dock when several subjects approached and started shooting, injuring her. The judicial investigation remains open to find those responsible for this life attack.
