Man shot dead at bus stop in Nuevo Chagres

A man was shot dead last night in Nuevo Chagres, in front of the bus stop near the Search Bloc substation. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Armando Ariel Contreras Corro. The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. Residents of the area, after hearing the shots and leaving their homes, found the body lying face down on the pavement, with no vital signs. According to community accounts, several individuals shot him and fled the area. The case was coordinated with the Public Ministry for the corresponding proceedings. The perpetrator had a criminal record for seizure of illicit substances in 2022 and 2024.
