Panama's Ministry of Health provided medical care to over 10,000 people during the carnival, recording cases of trauma, burns, poisonings, and traffic accidents. Inspections are being carried out to ensure health standards are met.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that to date, medical attention has been provided to 10,776 people in hospitals and in the primary care network, mainly for emergency cases. Among the registered care, 907 cases were for trauma, 24 for burns, 64 for food poisoning, and 59 for traffic accidents. Additionally, 863 tankers were inspected, of which 854 complied with regulations and 9 were rejected. The Ministry of Health will continue to provide medical care to the population and will maintain surveillance to ensure compliance with health regulations during the carnival festivities. During this period, Minsa carried out 630 emergency medical transfers, broken down as follows: 268 by land, 2 by water, 5 by air, 270 inter-hospital transfers, and 85 pre-hospital transfers. Meanwhile, the Department of Environmental Sanitation and the National Directorate of Food Control and Veterinary Surveillance (DINACAVV) conducted inspections of 3,795 fixed and mobile stalls. Furthermore, 6,544 food handlers were verified, of which 6,122 complied with health regulations, while 422 did not carry their corresponding identification card. Authorities destroyed and confiscated 289 products, imposed 43 fines, and issued 55 citations to various establishments. During this period, five (5) deaths have also been recorded.
