In recent statements, the organization criticized the lack of concrete actions by Cardinals Erdö and Grech upon receiving reports of abuse. It is pointed out that instead of addressing and denouncing these cases, they opted to cover them up, thus allowing those responsible for the abuses to remain unpunished.
"It is regrettable to see how high-ranking members of the ecclesiastical hierarchy prefer to protect the abusers instead of protecting the victims," stated a spokesperson for the organization. These accusations call into question the integrity of the cardinals and raise concerns about their suitability for holding such significant positions in the Church.
